Please note that the information below is from
GaETC 2007; information about special events at GaETC 2008 will be posted
when available.
Your GaETC Hospitality Committee is ready to make sure your
conference experience is outstanding. Please stop by our booth—just
across from the Registration Desk—and let us know if there is
anything we can do to make the 2007 GaETC Conference the BEST yet!
For a lasting conference memory be sure to have a digital or
hand-drawn caricature made. Using state-of-the-art computer
equipment, Jeff Mandell and his team of artists will render your
image with a pressure-sensitive tablet and software, or through the
more traditional hand-drawn techniques. And, the fun really begins
when special effects are applied to the drawings.
Has anyone seen Ernie? Five feet and five inches tall, Ernie
weighs in at 185 pounds. He has white hair, blue eyes, and a winning
personality. Most people think Ernie’s best feature is his humor. He
loves to tease and make fun of humans. Did you know that Ernie’s mom
is a refrigerator? She's real cool! Look for Ernie and his friend,
Ken Zaken from Robots 4 Fun.
Pick up your lunch at the concession stand or portable concession
stands located in the Exhibit Hall, and then find a cushion in the
pre-function areas just outside the Exhibit Halls between 12:00 and
1:00 pm on Wednesday and/or Thursday. You won’t want to miss the
performances of the Tri-Stars of Tri-Cities High School on Wednesday and the Brookwood High
School Jazz Combo on Thursday. These award-winning entertainers will
put a tap in your toes.
And, then you’ll be ready to kick up your heels and dance a
peachy Conga or have your picture taken with our own Georgia Peach.
Make sure to look for "Patty Peach” at the GaETC Reception/Dance on
Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Dine and
dance as you enjoy the sounds provided by Complete Music, with
popular disc jockey Rich Moran. In between dancing, enjoy an array
of gourmet foods prepared by Atlanta's acclaimed caterer Proof of
the Pudding. Don’t miss it!
Then, after all that dancing, stop by the Exhibitor area on
Thursday for a relaxing chair massage. The Atlanta School of Massage
has been an international leader in massage therapy education for
over 25 years, and is on the Exhibit Hall floor Wednesday and
Thursday providing complimentary massages. Chair massage provides an
appreciated break from everyday stresses as it opens up the back
muscles, relieves strain on the neck, and provides a gentle respite
for eyes usually glued to a computer monitor. Even 15 minutes of
massage can increase circulation, return energy levels, and help
keep the body injury free.
Getting hungry? Snacks are for sale throughout the day at the
Concession Stand in the back of the Exhibit area. A complimentary
morning coffee is served in the pre-function area adjacent to the
ballrooms each morning at 7:30 am. Nearby, a convenient portable
concession stand will feature a variety of inexpensive continental
breakfast foods. Then, at 2:45 pm, just when your energy is getting
low, stop by the Exhibit Hall where complimentary afternoon snacks
are served. More Information on Food Options |
