Concurrent Sessions 2012

Calling all interested presenters! Applications to present at GaETC 2012 will open May 1, 2012. For more information, see Concurrent Sessions 2012.

The Georgia Educational Technology Conference is dedicated to the professional development of educators. Conference presentations and exhibits will focus on technological innovations and their impact on teaching and learning. Five different types of presentations are listed below. 

Workshops

GaETC 2012 will offer approximately12 three-hour workshops to attendees. These hands-on presentations are in lab settings and explore new teaching strategies and technologies. They are offered on Tuesday, prior to the Conference opening, and during the Conference Wednesday and Thursday. There is an additional fee for workshops. 

Concurrent Sessions

The Conference offers over 250 one-hour concurrent sessions presented by educators and vendors, with special sessions by featured speakers and conference sponsors.

Student Showcase

Student groups from throughout the state will demonstrate exemplary uses of technology in an open-house format. The showcase presentations will take place outside (and inside) the Exhibit Hall. Representing schools throughout Georgia, these students will discuss their projects with individual visitors.

Leadership Luncheon

Wednesday, district and state education leaders will gather to focus on issues involved in teaching and learning through technology. There is an additional fee.

SIS Forum

Participants will have the opportunity to attend customized sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday to learn more about using PowerSchool in their districts and schools.  The targeted audience includes new and veteran users of PowerSchool. There is an additional fee.
