Does your class, school, or district website use forms to collect instructional or administrative data? Do these forms have to be printed out? Is anybody tired of deciphering the handwriting on these printouts and then having to type all this information into a document? Would you like for your website visitors to be able to type their data into your online forms? Would you like for them to be able to save their entered data in a pdf file, (even though they are using the free Adobe Reader--not Acrobat)? Would you like for the data from all respondents to wind up in one Excel file? In this workshop, you will learn how to use Acrobat 8 to automatically recognize fields in old static forms. This not-perfect-but-still-awesome procedure will get you started with converting old forms into interactive forms. You will also learn how to design different controls to collect data, how to enable your website visitors to save their data, and how to configure a submit button to collect the data the way you choose.
