Gail Lovely, a former teacher
of pre-school through university students, believes that teaching is her calling and a deep part of who she is. Gail taught
in Southern California inner-city schools for nine years before moving into
district positions in staff development and technology in the classroom. Gail
founded a company, Lovely and Associates, to help educators integrate technology
and curriculum through excellent staff development and support.
After earning her Master's Degree in Educational Computing,
from Pepperdine University, Gail enjoyed being an Adjunct Professor there for
many years, teaching technology integration courses to students in the Graduate
School of Education and Psychology and later at the
University of Houston.

Along the way, Gail
hosted an online community for teachers on Scholastic Network, founded the K2
Email List for Classroom Connect, and has written ongoing columns in Learning
and Leading with Technology, Instructor Magazine, Electronic
Learning, and Curriculum Administrator Magazine. She has served as
ISTE's Software Review Editor. She was named Trainer of the Year for 2006
from TexasAEYC and “The Best of NECC” for 2004-2006. Gail loves to teach and continues to do so by
sharing her vision for the active classroom and the improvement of the
relationship between teacher, learner, and curriculum through keynote sessions
at educational conferences and by hosting professional development seminars.
Gail lives in Friendswood, Texas, and is the proud mother of two technology-savvy
teenage boys.
