| Leslie entered
University of Southern California as a music major and
quickly realized the value of using computers for music
mixing and associated formats. She acquired appropriate
equipment (then a 300 baud modem) and began to dive into the
world of online before it was even considered online.
As time went by, Leslie began to realize she was no
longer hanging out in the online music chat room; she was
instead hanging out in the computer chat room, and really
liked it. The obvious next step was to change her major to
business and pursue a career in computer technology.
After college, where she was an Apple team captain,
Leslie spent three years as the Director of Training and
Marketing for a K-12 Apple subsidiary, training K-12
educators on computer technology. Leslie left this company
in 1992 to pursue a job with Apple Computer as a Senior
Systems Engineer in K-12 Education, providing technology
solutions to school districts across Southern California.
When the Internet took-off in 1994, Leslie was one of the
first Apple employees assigned to study Internet growth and
implementation. She became the Internet resource in the
Apple Education Western Region because of her knowledge on
web design, server implementation and Internet Resources.

In 1997, Leslie became roadkill on Apple's road to recovery
and was part of their massive lay off. She planned to spend
most of her huge severance package golfing and waiting a few
months to pursue job opportunities. However, the very day
after her layoff, her phone began to ring with Apple
customers requesting consulting. Soon Fisher Technologies
Inc. was created to help educators with technology
implementation and decisions. It is now a nationally known
operation providing web design, consulting, training, and
presentation services to school districts and companies.
