| Susan Silverman has
been a professional educator for over 35 years. Before
retiring from public education in 2004, she worked as a
classroom teacher and as an Instructional Technology
Integration Specialist. During 2003-2004 she wrote
content for the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE),
the International Reading Association (IRA), and Marcopolo’s
Read-Write-Think website. Susan received a two-year
fellowship from the Franklin Institute to collaborate with a
group of Online Museum Educators.
Currently working as an adjunct professor at New York
Institute of Technology and as an educational consultant,
Susan mentors teachers, coordinates online collaborative
Internet projects, designs websites, and presents at
technology conferences. Her 33 successful global Internet
projects can be seen on her website. She is a contributing
author of Innovative Approaches to Literacy Education,
published in 2005 by the International Reading Association. |
