Learn to use Windows Movie Maker 2 to create curricular movies with your students. It’s free and easy and students can

demonstrate their learning in a language they understand—MOVIES! Learn how to create high quality movies with ease.

In this exciting workshop, participants will import and edit footage; make titles, credits, and captions; create scene

transitions; add soundtracks and voiceovers; and premiere movies on CD or the Web. Bring photos and sound files to

work on movies during the workshop.

W22. Planning IT, Getting IT, and Keeping Up With IT

Participants will explore the many professional development tools available to ensure the application of expanded

Instructional Technology (IT) programs. This will include determining how to best identify needs and the resources

necessary to meet those needs. Participants will receive and bookmark funding sources for expansion of their IT

programs and will complete a simple cost-benefit analysis to determine whether to buy or build IT solutions.

Microsoft includes a great feature in Windows 2000 and Windows XP workstations called Group Policies. Through this

feature, you can tightly control virtually any aspect of a Windows workstation, thus eliminating mischief and damage that

wastes time. This hands-on workshop will take you through basic and advanced capabilities of Group Policies so that

you can get control and keep it! Note: Group Policies can be distributed from both Windows and Novell servers.
