Title: Active Learning with Instant Messaging -- Threat or Menace? So we should all rush out and find ways to incorporate instant messaging into our classrooms, right? In a word, NO! This workshop introduces you to the world of instant messaging and helps you separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to instant messaging's possible role both in active learning and the classroom. Session #: 239 Title: Ed Tech Competitive Grant Meeting - Part I Presenter(s): Jo Williamson Room: 309 Strand: DOE This is the beginning of a two-session meeting designed for school system Title II-D program managers for FY03 Ed Tech Competitive Grant. Participants should plan to attend both sessions. Presenters will provide information on state and federal requirements for financial and program accountability. They will also outline tentative evaluation plans for the project and possible support services to awardees. Participants will be asked to complete a needs assessment and to participate in group discussions that will shape future activities for grantees.
