Title: Introduction to Microsoft Producer for Windows XP or 2000 Presenter(s): Patrick Crispen Room: Monument Room Strand: Featured Speaker Microsoft Producer for PowerPoint 2002 (a.k.a. "PowerPoint XP") is a free PowerPoint add-in that lets you easily capture, synchronize, and publish audio, video, slides, and images, turning your old PowerPoint slide shows into rich-media presentations that you can easily put on the Internet. Microsoft Producer is the most exciting thing to happen to PowerPoint in years, and it will change the way that you look at PowerPoint slide shows forever! (Microsoft Producer is only available for PowerPoint 2002 which is part of Office XP, and Producer will only run on Windows XP or 2000. Sorry, Mac users!) Session 32 Title: Multimedia Seeds: A Starting Point for Audio, Video, and Visual Resources on the Web Presenter(s): Annette Lamb, Larry Johnson Room: Ballroom A Strand: Featured Speaker Seeds are the starting point of any effective learning environment. Learn how to locate quality audio, video, and visual elements on the Web that can be integrated into a wide range of technology-rich projects. In addition to specific resources, the session focuses on the evaluation, selection, use, management, and integration of online "multimedia resources." Issues such as access, copyright, and censorship are also discussed. Multimedia literacy (i.e., visual and auditory) and integration of multimedia resources into the K12 and higher education curriculum are examined, along with techniques for sharing and disseminating audio and visual elements (PowerPoint, Word, Inspiration, webpages). Finally, remote (i.e., video conferencing and streaming media) and emerging technologies (i.e., DVD) are highlighted. Explore multimedia seeds that will help students and their teachers grow a crop of great technology-rich projects.
