| Brooks P. Coleman, a motivational speaker, has been a member of the Georgia House of Representatives since 1992. He is a member of the House Education Committee. His education career started in 1962 as an elementary school teacher and has included many other positions in public education: Elementary School Principal, Curriculum Development Director, and Assistant Superintendent for Gwinnett County Public Schools His achievements in education include developing and implementing the Gwinnett County Local School Advisory Committee (LSAC), which has been presented throughout Georgia and at several national conferences; supervising the development of a comprehensive, short and long range planning process for future school enrollment and building needs; and developing one of the first successful team-teaching programs in Gwinnett County at Peachtree Elementary. |
