FEATURED PRESENTER
Dr. Mary Lu Armstrong has been a teacher, media specialist, and an administrator in the K-12 environment.  She served as Supervisor of Media Services and Director of Instructional Technology for the Cobb County School District in Marietta, Georgia.  Working with teachers, media specialists, and administrators, she had opportunities to plan, implement, and evaluate educational projects on a variety of scales.  Currently she is an adjunct professor with Georgia State University in the department of Educational Library Media and Technology.  She is also an adjunct professor with Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she teaches and provides administrative support for graduate level educational technology programs offered totally online.

Mary Lu Armstrong

Mary Lu is active in several regional and national professional organizations.  She has authored articles for their publications and presented numerous workshops at their conferences.  Her focus has consistently been on sharing the practical application of innovative solutions to educational problems.  While serving as the Supervisor of Media Services in Cobb County, she led the district's successful automation of all school media centers, providing a model that was later used in the statewide media automation project.  As Director of Instructional Technology, she and her staff accelerated the training for technology integration and launched the introduction of distance learning for students and teachers.
