Every time a teacher interacts
with students, the teacher’s feelings about the subject are conveyed along
with the content. Unless educators convey their passion for the topics
they teach, the risk having students lose enthusiasm for the topics being
studied. This presentation explores the importance of passion and
illustrates what can happen when students are passionate about their studies.
By exploring several topics, including a five-year project in history involving
up to 15,000 students, concrete examples of the pedagogy of passion will
be demonstrated in a way that allows participants to keep the flame of
passionate learning alive in themselves and their students. (repeat session
